Alex is a first year student at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business and is planning to concentrate in Finance. This is his first year on the CaseIT organizing committee as a Team Host. He is excited to meet the participants from all around the world, and make new friends and connections in the duration of the competition. When he is not found in the library reading textbooks, or attending lectures at school, you can find him hanging out with friends and having a good time. He also enjoys recreational activities such as reading, watching movies and working out. Alex hopes to make his time as a team host memorable and create long lasting memories for all those involved with CaseIT.[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Brian Liu” id=brian]
Brian is a third-year student in the Beedie School of Business pursuing the Management Information Systems (MIS) and Entrepreneurship & Innovation concentrations along with the Certificate in Business Technology Management (BTM). This is his first year with CaseIT, and he is eager to meet bright individuals from around the world who share his passion for technology. Brian is also passionate about giving back to the community, and organizes fundraisers with organizations such as SFU CAC and SFU Actions for causes such as the Canadian Cancer Society. Outside of school, Brian spends his free time listening to trance music, playing video games with his friends, oil painting and practicing Shaolin kung fu.[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Carol Kuo” id=carol]
Carol is a fourth year student at Simon Fraser University, majoring in Communications and minoring in Publishing. This is her first year on the CaseIT organizing committee as a Team Host and she is excited for this new experience. Event planning, marketing and networking has always been a big part of her life and through CaseIT she hopes to build on these skills. Carol enjoys meeting new people, exploring new places and creating new memories. She’s always up for an adventure. Cynthia is currently in her first year at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University. As a Team Executive, she is excited to meet and host the international teams as well as contribute to CaseIT‘s 13th year. She has always had a passion for event organization, marketing, and technology which makes CaseIT the perfect fit for her business and computer science interests. Outside of school, her enthusiasm lies in her part-time job with True North Apparel as a sales associate, her position as a child care attendant, and weightlifting.[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Cyrus Wong” id=cyrus]
Cyrus is in his third year at the Beedie School of Business concentrating in Human Resources and Management Information Systems. He is also passionate about Marketing and Entrepreneurship, and recently co-founded the start-up business, CampusPack. This is Cyrus’ second year on the CaseIT organizing committee, and definitely not his last. Although he won’t be hosting a team this year, he is still beyond excited to meet all of the CaseIT 2016 participants, and embark in new friendships and relations. Edward is in his final year of study at the School of Interactive Arts & Technology program pursuing a concentration in Design. This year is his first year with CaseIT and he hopes to give it his all to craft strong branding and visuals. He brings with him expertise in user experience design, research, photography, and graphic design. Edward developed his strengths from past co-op internships at large tech companies, Blackberry and Microsoft doing UX Design and research. He loves surrounding himself in an environment where he can be inspired and also inspire others, appreciating each other’s contribution. He believes in strong work ethics, collaboration, and a desire to learn. He enjoys being in the creative process of projects and watching it grow. Elvina is a first year student at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business planning to concentrate in Marketing and Human Resources. This is her first year on the CaseIT organizing committee as a Team Host. She is excited to meet all the CaseIT 2016 participants, and expand her network as well as create new friendships. Aside from school, she enjoys hiking, binge watching Netflix and visiting Vancouver’s large array of restaurants. She is also passionate about fashion as she is always browsing fashion blogs and reading about new trends. Elvina is an optimistic individual who loves making others smile and stay positive. Gianna is a third year student at the Beedie School of Business concentrating in Management Information Systems and Human Resources Management. She was a Team Host for CaseIT 2015 and is returning this year as a University Relations Executive. In addition to CaseIT, Gianna is involved with YWiB as the Executive of External Relations. Outside of school, Gianna enjoys pandas, getting lost, and eating the variety of cuisines Vancouver has to offer. Gini is a first year student at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business planning to concentrate in Marketing and MIS. This is her first year on the CaseIT organizing committee as a Team Host. She is excited to learn more about the MIS industry as well as expand her network internationally through meeting and hosting the teams. Gini was originally born in Taiwan. She also lived in Shanghai, China, for five years before moving to Vancouver in 2010. From moving around, Gini has learnt to speak both Mandarin and English fluently. It has always been Gini’s passion to meet new people and learn about new culture. Outside of school, Gini used to be an ice hockey, tennis and basketball player. Gini is looking forward to meeting all the participants of CaseIT 2016, and share with them her favourite parts of Vancouver.[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Ginny Hsiang” id=ginny]
Ginny is a second year student at Simon Fraser University, majoring in business and minoring in international studies. Although this is her first year with CaseIT, she enjoys the learning process and working with her team to bring this event to life. Currently, she is also a BASS FROSH leader and a member of the JDCW debate team. In her first year, she was involved with Enactus SFU, as a presenter on the nationals team and workshop coordinator for Hunger Actions. Ginny also volunteers her time to grow YoutHatch, a community program encouraging youth to become involved with salmon rearing activities and stream preservation. Outside of school, you can find her at the gym or at a coffee shop, sketching and listening to music. She is very excited for these upcoming months, as she works hard to help make CaseIT 2016 an unforgettable event![/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Jean-Paul Morneau” id=jeanpaul]
Jean-Paul or “JP” is currently in in second year of study at SFU with hopes of majoring in business with a Management Information Systems concentration and Business Analytics and Data Management (BADM) certificate. Jean-Paul has lived in Vancouver his whole life so knows his city very well and is excited to share it with his team. Though Jean-Paul grew up in Vancouver, he has deep Quebecois roots and attended a francophone elementary and high school making him fluent in both French and English. At school, Jean-Paul is involved with various clubs as well as enjoys playing recreational volleyball every week. Outside of school, Jean-Paul works at a hotel downtown driving fancy cars and helping guests with luggage as a bellman/valet. He also likes to bike around town during summer as well as practice calligraphy and fly around when time permits (he has his glider license!). This is Jean-Paul’s first year with Caseit but is excited and looking forward to making CaseIt 2016 an experience to remember![/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Jeffrey Lai” id=jeffrey]
Jeffrey is a first year student at the Beedie School of Business and is planning to concentrate in marketing and entrepreneurship. This is his first year on the CaseIT organizing committee as a Team Executive and he is excited to develop a professional attitude in addition to honing his social skills. Being born in Taiwan, Jeffrey immigrated to British Columbia at three years old. Graduating with a French-Immersion degree, he is fluent in English, French and Mandarin and is hoping to put to use his language skills with the international contestants this year. Jeffrey is a loud and social person, always cracking jokes and interrupting the silence. He loves comedy and hopes to become a stand-up comedian if this whole education thing doesn’t work out. Jeffrey loves everything basketball related and is currently enduring the rebuilding process of the Boston Celtics. To stay active, Jeffrey plays basketball and workout. He loves pop culture, and he will surprise you with pointless trivia on movies and television shows. Josh is currently in his third-year at Beedie pursuing a concentration in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Computing Science. This is his first year in CaseIT and is eager to learn about Case Competitions and the MIS industry. Josh is also part of other student clubs, including JDC West as the Captain of the Athletics team, and BASS Frosh as an orientation leader. Josh has an infectious energy and loves to make people laugh. He is also passionate about technology, basketball, and travelling. Josh is very excited to join the team this year and hopes to do everything in his power to make this year the best CaseIT yet.[/accordion-item] [accordion-item title=”Kevin Kunimoto” id=kevin]
Kevin is a first year student at Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business. After hearing about CaseIT at a business event, he pursued the opportunity further. It’s Kevin’s first year with CaseIT, and he is extremely excited to work with the team. Kevin wants to bring the best experience for the teams that attend CaseIT. While he is not in school, you can find him tutoring, finding new clothes, or volunteering for the City of Surrey. Kevin is eager to bring his own experiences to help CaseIT, while also developing himself through his time with CaseIT.

Kitty is a third year student at the Beedie School of Business, concentrating in Management Information Systems and plans to graduate with a Business Management Technology certificate. This is Kitty’s first year at CaseIT and she is eager to learn more about the dynamic MIS industry and expand her network with students from around the world. Outside of school, Kitty enjoys eating vast variety of food choices Vancouver offers, binge watching Netflix, and playing video games to satisfy her competitive spirit. She loves making people laugh with her not-so-funny jokes and her awkward dance moves. She is excited to be a part of CaseIT 2016 and cannot wait to create new connections and memories at this year’s competition.

Maheen is in her fourth year in the School of Interactive Arts +Technology at SFU, with the hopes of completing a minor in Business as well. Currently, she works at Electronic Arts as a User Experience Designer, and works as a Freelance designer and videographer on the side. Her love of design, motion graphics and project management, has motivated her to step out of her comfort zone and use CaseIT as an outlet to grow both as a designer, as well as a global citizen. When she’s not working, you’ll find Maheen biking or hiking, binge watching TV Shows, or eating Sushi. Since it’s her second time in CaseIT, Maheen truly understands the impact CaseIt can have on its participants, sponsors and volunteers. She looks forward to using her design knowledge and student engagement passion to spread CaseIT globally. She is ecstatic to be working alongside this year’s amazing team, and can not wait to meet all the teams joining us in early 2016!

Phuong Mai is a first year student at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University pursuing a major in business administration. This is her first year on the CaseIT Organizing Committee as a Team Host but she believes her passion for meeting new people and love for Vancouver will help her out greatly. In addition to CaseIT, Phuong is a Sports Assistant for SFU Rec and a workshop coordinator for Banner Bags which is a part of Enactus SFU. Outside of school, she is an avid ultimate frisbee player, prospective pilot in the air cadet program and an amatuer Instagram photographer. She is looking forward to forging new relationships and developing a threshold of new skills with CaseIT 2016.

Saba is a third year student at the Beedie School of Business, concentrating in Operations Management and Management Information Systems. In addition, she is also pursuing a certificate in Business Analytics Decision Making to gain skills in data mining and process analysis. This is her first year on the CaseIT organizing committee, but she looks forward to being involved in the committee for years to come. Through her sales experience, Saba recognized her interest in operational efficiency, and looks forward to enhancing those skills as a Junior Business Analyst this year on co-op. She looks forward to meeting all the competitors participating in CaseIT this year!

Sarah Jo is a first year student at Simon Fraser University, majoring in business and pursuing to minor in education. Outside of school, Sarah can be found devoting her hours towards her community, working at her local pool as a lifeguard, or taking advantage of Vancouver’s selection of foodie destinations. Even though this is Sarah’s first year working for CaseIT, she is confident that she, along with the Organizing Committee and her fellow team executive members, will be able to provide all participants a phenomenal experience at CaseIT 2016. Sarah is looking forward to meeting everyone at CaseIT and hopes that all participants can bring home a myriad of new skills and friendships from this year’s conference.
